books! argh!
May. 3rd, 2011 08:51 pmOUT: 47 children's books
I had another go at the children's shelves tonight. I still let myself hold onto anything I remembered as one of the kids' favorites, or mine, or books that just are so good. (Of course, we have a lot of children's books that fall into the category of so good. It's not like I made a habit of buying crappy kids books.) Letting go of books seems to be a constant and gradual process.

I love books, but they take up room I'd really love to use for current books.

Date: 2011-05-04 03:27 pm (UTC)Yes! I've started to evaluate books for re-readability as I'm reading them - if they have no reread value, and no reference value, I won't keep them.
And as I have no plans to have kids immediately, I'm letting go of the childrens books that I was just keeping around for the theoretical offspring, and that I don't have cherished memories of or love.
