Here's my tally for the week of June 25th - July 1st, and my cumulative progress.

Numbers under here... )

I've been slowly but surely picking away at my dresser. I found a bunch of games that I don't play, so I sold those to Amazon, along with a few DVDs. I should be getting $18.50 for that, so yay! Amazon's buy back program is kind of addicting, so I wonder what else I'll find stashed away. This week I'm going to continue going through this dresser.

Here's my tally for the week of June 18th - June 24th, and my cumulative progress.

Numbers under here... )

This was a pretty good week. I managed to get rid of the hardest items: the stuffed animals from my ex. I also cleared out plenty of broken stuff that was hidden away in various places. I've also found a ton of random things which I'm going to need to sort through. My closet and non-clothing dresser are disaster areas. Instead of tackling them full on, I think I actually will do those one, or a few, item at a time to keep my sanity.

I also just wanted to say that I really appreciate the kind words and support this community gives. You're all awesome!

Fell off the radar for a few days

IN: Just a couple of magazines, I think
OUT: 23 cds

I tried applying the 1/5 rule to my cds this morning with moderate success.  When I was tidying up, the cd shelves were getting too full to put everything away. So I counted up our cds, and there's a little more than 160. I decided to aim for about 30 to go away, and it was hard, hard, hard. My first pass through the shelf netted me 13 cds I didn't want. So I went through them again, asking myself when was the last time I listened to each one. It's been more than 10 years for a lot of them. Or others that were gifts, and I've never opened.

So.

I didn't make thirty, but I'm still pleased.
