uncluttering one day and one thing at a time

My now monthly-ish post. If I end a run of projects these might be more regular!

I'm once again up to date with camp blanket badges, no pictures though, the weather isn't up to it!

I appear to have projects coming out of my ears. Uncluttering has taken something of a back seat as the two which I'm working on right now are organising my itunes (my bedroom may look like an explosion of stuff, but woe betide my itunes library looking messy), and identifying all the songs I know (and which of those I can play) in a book, which I'm doing for someone else and need to get the book back to them asap.

Thus, recent totals are rather diminished and I appear to have a distressing number of 'in' things, but going to see Wicked really didn't help. Much thanks to ciaan for the badges. If the weather doesn't get really hot I should get around to sewing some on soon.

That's the first time since January my total has gone in that direction. Hopefully by next time I'll be be able to bump it back the other way.

April project update: April ended with me aaaalmost finished with the box in the bathroom. To be honest I'm going to leave that last little bit until we've used up a few things and I can use the extra room it creates to sort through that bit properly. The huge majority of stuff is now sorted into different bags ready for using.

IN (thank you to decision to go to craft and kitchen gadgets stores mostly):

1 x leave in conditioner (unusual one for me, decided it was probably needed but not a necessity)
thank goodness e-books aren’t being counted (at least I’m not)
1 x sheet mountboard (yes, more, I have more projects)
2 x sheets plastic ‘sewing fabric’
1 x pack jewellery findings
1 x hank of black cotton (friendship bracelet project, using other colours up, discovered a need for black)
1 x organiser thing for shelves
1 x picture frame

OUT:

1 x Bag full of things from bathroom (mostly packaging/old containers from presents of toiletries)
3 x broken pegs
4 x pairs pants
20 x magazines (actually this was mum, but it cheered me up)
1 x mini bottle (now empty moisturiser, I’m on project use-up)

Used up:
moisturiser, 4+ hanks thread, started on some soap, more moisturiser, some shampoo, bath bubbles, various other bathroom/beauty type things.

New total: 328 items down

Also, for anyone interested, the camp blanket I talked about last time, here's a pic:( Read more... ) I only sewed on about 30 or so of the badges in the last batch, I've been collecting for a good few years now.

Some of these were pretty bulky, so I'm pleased they've gone.

I've finished cleaning off the top left hand shelf in the kitchen. Plus various other things. And I cleaned the main bits of the bathroom last night and the hob top today (eww, it's open and a complete pain in the bum to clean).

Time spent looking longingly at pile of things to sort whilst I'm meant to be working: far too much!

I've had a very busy two weeks and I spent a week of it away, although in two separate chunks. So I'm feeling very behind unclutter wise. I've lost track a little, so some of these are approximate.

I'm pleased I'm at least up to date with my one item per day.

My totals are poor, but they are totals. Itching to unclutter big-time.
