Oh, worn out well loved socks. I have a hard time letting them go.

I know! It's an odd thing to get attached to, but I do!

One of my friends moved last year, and she purged her 'girly' socks - sending the good ones to me. ('Cause I'm lucky that way.) - And then she used the Is It Good Enough to Send to Lass as her criteria for keeping her own socks.

So then last week, I was wearing the butterfly socks she sent me, and they had a hole in the toe, and I thought - Nene wouldn't have sent me a sock with a hole in it; I can throw it out.

I think it taps into unconscious scarcity fears for me. But if I stop and consciously think about it, I can trust that there will be other nice socks in my future. It's not these socks or no more socks ever.
