Weekend uncluttering

How goes the uncluttering this weekend?

I've been using up fabric scraps to repair cheap 'reusable' shopping bags -- horrid plasticky fabric that shreds surprisingly easily (extruded in some way, rather than woven, so a tear just shreds across if not spotted). At the rate I'm going, I might have to start repairing other peoples, but it will be a great way to get rid of scraps!

That sounds like a cool project with the bags and the fabric scraps!

I'm about to head off on a long trip, so I haven't been doing much uncluttering apart from maintenance things like recycling. (Also not much cheerleading here -- sorry, folks!)

Instead, I have been... cluttering. AKA creating piles of things that need to be packed. Thankfully quite a few things have been put into suitcases and bags today, so it's all feeling a little calmer!

Oh, exciting -- I hope you enjoy the trip (enjoyed? I'm a bit behind on replying). And all the sympathies on the mess that happens leading up to a trip, while you try and decide exactly what is going to be important.
