Weekend uncluttering
Mar. 24th, 2019 07:22 pmHow goes the uncluttering this weekend?
I've been using up fabric scraps to repair cheap 'reusable' shopping bags -- horrid plasticky fabric that shreds surprisingly easily (extruded in some way, rather than woven, so a tear just shreds across if not spotted). At the rate I'm going, I might have to start repairing other peoples, but it will be a great way to get rid of scraps!

Date: 2019-03-24 06:29 pm (UTC)Yesterday I went through a box that contained things I had bought as gifts, either with no recipient in mind, or far in advance of the gift-giving occasion. I had also stored other random small items there over the years, and due to the out-of-sight, out-of-mind problem, most were no longer relevant for gift-giving, or useful. So I have about 10 items ready for the thrift store, and others now stored in better (I hope) locations.

Date: 2019-03-24 07:31 pm (UTC)I'm about to head off on a long trip, so I haven't been doing much uncluttering apart from maintenance things like recycling. (Also not much cheerleading here -- sorry, folks!)
Instead, I have been... cluttering. AKA creating piles of things that need to be packed. Thankfully quite a few things have been put into suitcases and bags today, so it's all feeling a little calmer!
