What have you found to unclutter today?

I remembered to ask partner about the drawers that we used to keep CDs in, so those are now in the hall. I offered them to one friend, and I have a back up, where another friend noticed them, and asked if they were free-to-good-home.

Now I have to work out what is going in that space!

My mother gave us her computer to fix (both Spouse and I work in the tech field so likely one of us could fix it). A long time ago. We pulled it out last week to fix, so we can return it to my mother when she visits soon.

Well, it just needed a new power cord, so the old power cord will be recycled and the laptop and new cord will be leaving soon.

Added a few more things to the handmedown box. I think that will be ready to ship in a week or two.

Yay for fixing the computer so that it can go back to its real home. And well done for adding more to the handmedown box. I'm sure the person you're sending it to will be very happy to get it.

Hopefully the partial thing of too-dark-for-me whole-bean coffee has been, or will have been, rehomed instead of thrown out. Not my problem anymore. (I did in fact leave it in the work break room.)

There's an awful lot of empty cardboard around here. I need to recycle basically the lot of it, and find a good away for the bits that are boxes for things we want to keep the boxes for.

Still trying to come up with the floor space and time to reorganize and cull my wardrobe...

Recycling the cardboard boxes sounds like it will help a lot quite quickly with creating floor space so you can work on the wardrobe. Good luck!

Not really—the cardboard is mostly occupying living area and the most convenient spot to do the wardrobe cull would be the bedroom floor? But yeah.

Thanks :)

Sounds like you'll successfully get rid of the drawers to one friend or the other -- well done!

I had a small success in that I took another load to the book donation bank yesterday.

I'm also trying an experiment in my kitchen, having finally got sufficiently fed up with the inconvenience of having too many things stuffed into the cupboard that holds my tableware and non-metal cookware.

So I removed everything I know for sure I don't use fairly regularly. I found a couple of items to get rid of immediately, but most of it is being stored in a box, because it definitely does get used occasionally. (A lot of it gets used when my sister hosts the biannual big family get-together and we need every plate we can lay our hands on.) In a few months time, I'll go through it and see what else I'm ready to get rid of.

The great thing about having decluttered so much else in the rest of my house is that I now have space to store it somewhere other than the kitchen. In the kitchen, it's clutter, because it's getting in my way; stored somewhere else in the house (assuming I don't put it somewhere I'll repeatedly trip over it!), it's a "seasonal" item on a par with Christmas decorations and garden furniture. :-)
