Yesterday's success was declaring that I don't need to empty and clean out a set of jars -- we have enough, so I put them all in the bin. These have been sitting there for ages because the cleaning was going to be finicky, and I haven't had the oomph.

Yesterday my mother took away a bag of books for the heritage railway's secondhand bookshop and a marmalade jar to re-use.

Today, not yet gone, I've listed two unwanted yoga mats and an artificial christmas tree on Freecycle. Fingers crossed that someone wants them!

I didn't even get through my usual weekly clean-up, let alone any extra decluttering, but I only have 2½ days of work this week and then I'm on winter break and I've got Friday set aside for errands and chores.

Boxing Day came early for me this year as I donated four puzzles and a plush dolphin.

I'm thinking of donating some cookbooks we've never used the next time the Epilepsy Foundation comes around.
