What uncluttering are you proud of this weekend? Big, small, important, irrelevant, what matters is it happened!

Books (finally!) went to the charity bookshop, mostly thanks to a friend who also wanted to donate some books and is more organised than me.

I also got rid of some recycling, including donating some clothes that have been bagged up for... a while. (The very convenient recycling place in a nearby supermarket carpark is temporarily closed while the supermarket builds an extension. I cannot wait for it to be made available again so I don't have to schlep stuff a couple of miles away.)

And I was fairly successful decluttering my to-do list by doing various medium sized tasks, including some digital decluttering. So, all round, a highly constructive week. :-)

I sold and shipped a thing today, recycled a bunch of stuff while there's room in the bin for pick up on Monday. I donated a few things to the secondhand store and will drop off another small bag this week.

And I finally framed the picture a friend drew in December. One framed piece of art is so much more manageable than one fancy piece of paper, a matte, and a frame.

I framed another piece of art--and broke the glass in the frame. Ugh. Still more manageable this way.

I can now easily walk into my bookroom and I've made some tentative plans for going through books/media/nerdery and doing some selective pruning.

I took 2 old mattresses to the tip yesterday and today I unearthed a box of assorted old junk and a broken photo frame (kept the glass for repairs) that went in the bin.

While I was moving stuff, I managed to get some books onto shelves and other bits hung up.

Every little helps

This week I have managed to give away a bag of prawn crackers, an X-files book and my old gi (martial arts kit) to various people. Out of my house and useful to others. The las I gave the gi to is overjoyed. He takes his black belt in September, so no point in forking out £45 for a kit he'll wear for 6 months.

I also had to tidy the living room floor for an online training session, which got rid of 2 boxes of papers and junk and several empty cardboard boxes. It's so nice to see a visible sign of things going.

My house is a 3D version of those moving square puzzles and everything that moves means a better chance of something finally leaving the building and making room for something to get into yhe right place.
