I missed last weekend entirely. oops. So, what have you uncluttered in the last two weeks? Anything big? Anything small? Have you started the year the way you hope to go on, or are you still recovering from 2021?

Date: 2022-01-09 05:40 am (UTC)After about a decade of discussing it, partner and I went and bought a new entertainment unit that actually fits where we want it to go. I've advertised the old one on buy nothing, and had several takers. I anticipate that it will be collected this week.
And, in a spectacular change, Middlest has decided that they have officially abandoned the project that they have been collecting cardboard for, and have started emptying the space under their bed, so far filling the recycling bin twice over. Once that is done, we can start on moving furniture so that their room is as they want it, and then getting them a new bed (the old one is a standard single; Middlest is 6')

Date: 2022-01-10 03:40 pm (UTC)Current work is in their office, which we worked on last winter and despite knowing how much has been removed from there, it still looks awful. But we have a season...
I need to do more in my own space. ^^;; I just don't entirely know where to begin. (Once the plague lets up a bit, I do have a friend who's promised to come over and just point to piles and make me deal with them. I think that'll work!)

Date: 2022-01-11 06:49 am (UTC)That is fabulous progress on your parents' place!
I hear you on getting stuck in one's own space. That kind of friend is a valuable resource! I discovered this week (last week?) that I have accidentally trained Youngest to be that kind of friend -- they are the 'adult in charge/person with a driver's licence' helping out with a friend's teen & tween, and has been approximately doing that item by item.
