Moving several small things is manageable for me. I may not be able to go through a single room at once, or over a week, and make a donation pile, trash pile, etc, due to time constraints. I can find things as I tidy up that I may not need anymore. If I keep moving it out of the way to do something, it probably doesn't have a proper home and maybe it's something I don't need after all.
Mind you, my house is not magazine ready. I do believe and strive to achieve "everything has its place, a place for everything" as I move around and tidy up (the never ending task but it's better than sitting around staring at the wall). I also use the container theory: the size of my house is the size of my house. The size of my bookshelves is the size of my bookshelves. They aren't going to get bigger. If my things don't fit, it's time to make some decisions.
All that to say, this week I decided to try to sell a shirt from a beloved annual event I attend. The shirt doesn't fit. It's listed in the event's fb group and considering how quickly other items I've sold there have been claimed, I hope to mail the shirt off this week.
I also sold a thing I made, will ship that later as well when the payment clears.
A few more things have gone into the handmedown box, which is a smaller box than usual so it may ship this month after all. I'm giving two things to a local friend using one of those string backpacks events like to give as freebies. Useful for the day, clutter in the house, but useful to hold things I will give to friends.
