How goes the uncluttering this weekend?

I'm having a surprisingly productive weekend. I turned my eyes on the main non-fiction bookshelf, and I've nearly a metre of books in the 'probably throw' pile (the rest of the house has to approve or veto). I've planted out the papaya seedlings that grew from the 'too old' seed, potted up the rest ready for locals to put in their gardens (one lot has been collected; three other lots to go). And most of the items I advertised on Buy Nothing have been requested, and am organising for them to be rehomed!

I accidentally bought a duplicate book this weekend--it was worth the $1 gamble since I couldn't remember if I had a copy--that headed to the library book sale tomorrow.

I tried to sort through my desk papers and mess. That'll take another try.

Well done on your progress.

I've been looking at books in the TBR pile and have pulled about 7 that I don't think I'll ever really want to read, unless there is absolutely nothing else left (which given that on current estimate it's going to take me about 16 years to get through the TBR pile is not something I'm too worried about). I've also pulled another 5 that I need to actually start reading at least two of before I can decide - 2 of them are sequels in a series I wasn't overly enjoying when I read them about 3 years ago (hence why I've never read the rest) but as I did complete them I feel obliged to at least start the next one before finally deciding and the other three are a series that I'm just not sure that I'm interested in.

I also re-sorted all the boxes that I've accumulated while I was thinking of doing a car boot sale - several people have made comments about their experiences at car boots so I'm figuring that I'll just contact a couple of people at a school to see if they want the kids/teens books in two boxes. I've also got a bunch of audio books and am trying to figure out who I might be able to give them to - there's got to be an organisation that might like them. The rest can go to the local charity shop next weekend. If I can get them out of the house next weekend - that will be six large boxes of stuff really gone as opposed to just stacked to go.

I always take weekends off from decluttering but I had a very good session today. With some help, I decluttered all but one of my file folders! Only one left to go and then I can go reorganise my files. Yay!

My friend's daughter had a birthday party over the weekend, so we took her a garbage bag full of hand-me-down clothes and shoes. I also tossed a few pairs of my underwear that had holes now that I bought some new ones.

Another weekend, another five bags or more donated - including a good number of the books I sorted. Mom also decided to get rid of her old bedpost.

I'm getting rid of a rather large coffee cup.
