What have you found to release this weekend?

I've a weird lot of small wins. I've identified two jars of oats (quick cook and rolled) that are no longer decreasing -- Youngest tells me that they have stopped eating porridge (I can't stomach oats). So, chookfood. I did a bit of cleaning in the kids bathrooms, and identified a few things that can go; some rubbish, some to be repurposed. And, having moved furniture around a while back, I can now get to my scrap fabric box, and so the random bits of fabric I'm finding are all going in there. And I have a plan for cutting it down (crazy patchwork shopping bags on a nylon curtain lace backing) that looks like being lots of fun!

And, because I've spent a lot of the day lying in bed feeling miserable (overdid things yesterday), I've cleaned out my DW inbox back to 5 weeks ago! So, if you got an unexpected comment from me, that would be why.

I did pretty well! I recycled 3 manuals for items we no longer own, left 2 things on the curb that have disappeared, and listed a thing to give away on fb. When I visited a bookstore unsupervised, I didn't buy a single thing!

Huzzah!

Hurray for keeping the manual pile up to date, putting things out, and resisting temptation! :)

I sorted through my medals from running races and identified 10 to get rid of (keeping about 12). I also found a place to send the medals for recycling.

Earlier this year I decided not to take a medal at the finish line if the race didn't feel particularly special, so I won't be accumulating as many in the future. I think I will try the same with race t-shirts - not take one home if I can tell it's unlikely I will wear it.

Hope you feel better soon!

Get well soon.

About the only thing I did was decide to donate the second to last book from my regular bookshelf instead of reading it. The book's written in too dry a style for my taste, and the type's too small for me to read.

I decided not to keep a book and when I posted it on the swap site, I found out it was wishlisted, so I'm mailing it today. I had a bit of a dry spell mailing books, despite posting a bunch, so it's nice to actually have one leave the house.

On that particular swap site, when I post a book, it automatically notifies me that the book is wishlisted. It's not a guarantee that it will get requested right away or at all, but it's much better than the other site I belong to which doesn't purge inactive accounts, so something could be wishlisted by 20 people who haven't been to the site in five years. When I got home from mailing the first book yesterday and marked it mailed, I saw that I had another request, so I'm off to mail another book today. :)
