weekend uncluttering

How is the uncluttering going this weekend?

I posted one of the much delayed parcels! And found a mailer for the next one, so now I just have to get to a post office. And hassle the third person for an address. I've also move a teetering mound of Stuff so that I have a clear space for sorting out (and photographing) items to go. I'm allowing myself to add at most three items at a time, so that I don't get overwhelmed.

Sounds like you're doing well. I've managed to locate another 9 books to go - 2 to someone else, and the rest will go into the boxes for carboot or charity donation. I'm also reading some further books that I expect will also join the leaving pile.

I have *finally* taken several bags of clothes to the charity shop, along with an embroidery book I don't think I'm ever really going to use. I've also cleared out and chucked a load of stuff from under the dining room table that has been affected by my current mouse infestation. I need to vacuum, but I'm going to cook dinner now and maybe vacuum later.

I've also uncluttered the garden slightly by taking 4 fruit trees to the allotment. I may end up with somewhere to sit this summer - which means it's going to rain for the next 6 months!

It's a good thing it's bin day tomorrow. I've filled the recycling bin and half the general waste bin. This is at least 3 times as much as normal!

I've also uncluttered one mouse! I set two traps yesterday and one of them was triggered when I came home today. I hope there aren't any more, but I've left the other trap and assorted poison down.

I've got a box of handmedowns to ship tomorrow, and homes for the others to be hand delivered this week.

Also, on a recent trip, we tended toward the food-sort of souveniers, rather than items. It's a place we visit relatively often, not too exotic or anything, so local treats are the best.

Yay for things leaving the house! And the food-sort of souvenirs are great. Om, nom, and all that. Round here, lots of places do wine and/or chocolate, but I can't drink all that much!
