How goes the weekend uncluttering?

I've managed to find a bit of motivation, mostly by lying on the bed and reading all morning, and have gone back to the 'move all the junk back in the spare room' task. Which has involved opening up another box, and finding several items we don't really have a use for. And finding some items in the sewing basket that aren't going to be worn by me -- I figure I'll still fix them (or offer them with a 'and I'll fix them if you can't on the Buy Nothing group), but they they can go

I'm going through various dry-goods containers in the kitchen to see what can go. I definitely have hung on to way more than I will ever use (even with several in use for various pasta/rice/wheat/etc.) and they're just sitting empty and have for long enough that I know I'll be fine without them.

I also cleaned/wiped-down the area around the coffee maker and discovered the glass container that had scissors, a couple pens, chip clips, whatnot in it had a broken/chipped corner and while I'm a little bummed, I'm also not going to fuck around with broken glass, so it got a quick rinse and is in with the recycling. I've got everything in an empty coffee container for now and may keep it there until I see if maybe I can tuck all that stuff into a drawer instead.

Sorted enough books out of my bookshelf to put some framed pictures and a Webster's Pocket Reference Library collection in there.

I've offered 2 things on fb to friends and added a vase and a sweater to the donation pile.

There was a free market nearby today, so I took a few of my daughter's outgrown toys there to donate. I thought she would be upset to see them go, but she was very enthusiastic about giving them to other children. I picked up a few books and a little set of sorting toys for my daughter at the free market.

Yes, it certainly does. There are a few bigger toys she's not quite ready to part with yet that she's too big for, so I hope she will be ready to give them away soonish. I feel kind of hypocritical telling her to get rid of toys when I collect them, but mine are all put away, not strewn all over the living room. I can't wait to move her toys to her bedroom later this week. :)
