How goes your decluttering this Wednesday?

Other than trying to week my comment box of anything older than 4 weeks (not easy, even if I'm allowing myself an amnesty and deleting things I might want to reply to), I've been getting items found in the spare room out of the house. A box of yarn went yesterday, a box of assorted items went today. And tonight partner and I have had a small nip each of the scotch I found at the top of the pantry and decided to stop holding on to.

Worked on a craft project with some deco tape I found, put the rest of the mystery deco tape back in the box instead of stressing over what I could do with it (its time will come!)... Going through notebooks and recycling stuff I no longer need.

That all sounds very satisfying! Well done on not stressing over the tape.

Thank you. Sometimes I have a hard time between 'it's okay to use the thing I've been keeping' and 'I need to use all of the thing I've been keeping, right now'.

I identified a couple more books for donating - incremental progress but it all adds up.

It must feel good to actually get things out of the house!

It's amazing how far "slow and steady" can get you -- and how quickly, isn't it? Good job identifying more books to go! (And I hope you get the good feeling of actually getting things out of the house soon.)

not a thing. It's been a rough week so I'm fine with it.

Thanks!

I did eat the last cookies and found a use for the last of the raisins--making chocolate covered raisins! not sure it took me so long to think of making chocolate covered raisins, which used up the last of the raisins AND the last half bag of chocolate chips AND tastes great.

This week I got rid of a huge quantity of grubby paper - scrap paper, stationery I don't like, cheap notebooks - and kept only the best and nicest paper, including notebooks that were given to me as a gift. My shelves look a lot better - but I also found some good stationery just when I thought I was running out - AND - a total of FOUR sheets of stamps! that I'd bought months ago and mislaid in various places.

I would have enjoyed finding some scotch and drinking it, but this is good, too.

Ooh, finding stamps is like finding money (or gift cards)! And hooray for "shopping from your stash" (and not having to spend more money), since you were able to find the good stationery once you'd cleared out the stuff you didn't like. :-)

Well done on getting so many of the things from the spare room out of the house! And yes, why save the scotch for "sometime never" when you can enjoy it now? :-)

No decluttering inside the house for me, but I did do some heavy pruning in the garden, and it's all cut up and ready to leave the premises. (I hope at the end of the week, but that depends on how much snow we get.)
