How goes the war on clutter this weekend?

Kids and I went through a smallish pile of secondhand books to determine which ones we want to keep -- about half of them are going to be leaving the house, just as soon as I've checked which of my friends are going to want them. And I've collected together two decades worth of recipe cards acquired from an assortment of locations, and these will be mailed off to a friend, just as soon as I gather all the other bits and bobs that I'm sending to them (which may or may not include some of the above mentioned books). Really want to have that done in the next week. I'm also thinking of paring down my pile of bookmarks, because it is getting truly ridiculous. I've a friend who used to have an endless need for bookmarks, so I'm going to check with them as to whether they want them. Otherwise, the advertising ones will go straight in the bin! (I appreciate the various online booksellers including bookmarks, but one per book is a few more than I actually need!)

I took a craaaaaazy amount of plastics to the recycling center, and started a new clothing donation pile. I caught up on all laundry over the weekend and properly sorted everything.

That sounds like a very impressive weekend! Well done on getting rid of all the plastics -- I'm sure that cleared a lot of space. :-)
