What have you found to free yourself from today?

I looked in my wardrobe, and realised that one of my winter tops didn't come off the hanger this winter, so in the outbox it went. I'm eyeing off a couple more to add as well. And the friend I help with cleaning filled a small shopping bag with clothes to take to a clothing swap, so wins all round!

Hoping to meet up with 2 buyers today! I put another pair of pants in the donation box--I found them in the drawer, wondered why I don't wear them, tried them on and found out they are too short, and donated.

Good luck with the potential buyers -- and well done for ditching the pants that didn't fit!

One buyer canceled on me. At least it was the $5 buyer, not the $20 buyer!

Hooray for realizing that winter top needed to go!

I put four books in the book donation bin yesterday. I also threw out six ends of packets of spices, which were ancient -- I realized I am almost certainly never going to cook the things I used the spice for again. And if I do, I should buy new spices!

And some items I'd set aside a few months back with a "probably to throw away" label actually went into the bottom of a trash bag that I'm adding to.

I've been looking through unread books while I was huddled under blankets (our furnace wasn't working, but thankfully it was only an unlit pilot) and got rid of 13 books from the same series. Why I collected almost the entire series without even reading the first book, I don't know, but they are gone now.

I guess you kept thinking you'd read that first one (and then the rest) some day? But it seems like that's never going to happen, so well done for getting rid of the books!

Well done on putting the top to go and on considering others to join it. I've sorted through the sock/tights drawer and disposed of ones that are odd or past their best. I've started another bag for clothes/bedding/etc and put three things in so far. 2 more DVDs in the box and an audiobook. Two books passed to someone else and another DVD.

I've seen some benefit to my efforts - it's becoming easier to keep the decluttered areas tidy now there is less clutter - I managed to dust two rooms, plus the stairs and vacuum the whole house in less than an hour (with the exception of one room) because I didn't have to do much 'stuff moving' to be able to clean. There's still lots of space for improvement but I'm hoping that seeing the benefit of what's been done so far might keep my motivation progressing.
