What have you found to rehome this weekend?

I've done a blitz on the kitchen, and thrown out rather a lot of plastic bags after dealing with the last bits of Whatever were in them (made muesli; most of the Whatever was nuts and dried fruit). Other than that, nothing. I did go through all the fruit on the fruit trays, but there wasn't actually anything off there, so nothing got thrown out!

The final bag of garden waste got taken to the tip yesterday. I've watched 2 more DVDs (and am 3/4 of the way through a third and will finish shortly) all of which will go into the boxes for either a car boot sale or donation, along with another bookv. I've started another bag to go to the clothing/bedding/other 'material' donation point, so far I've put in an unwanted bathmat and table cloth. I'm eyeing some clothes but am not sure yet, so they don't count ... yet! Maybe next week when I've made a decision

I've sorted through my shoes and a couple of pairs have gone out, but I've also put several boxes (shoe boxes with one pair in each otherwise that sounds worse than I intended) in a pile with shoes that I need to try and break in around the house before making a decision on whether I'm giving up on them (I've had all of them for several years).

I have a rug that I've been trying to make usable. Basically it's not got enough weight to it to stay put, so has a tendency to be more of a tripping hazard than anything else. I bought some stuff that was supposed to keep it stuck to the carpet wherever it was placed - it's an improvement but not by much. I don't know what to try next. I bought a nice new rug for a different room at a very decent price, part of me is tempted to give up on this one and just go and get another new one (in a different colour) from the same store.
