Weekend uncluttering

How goes the uncluttering this weekend?

I've done a few things on my bingo card, although I haven't ticked them off. Yesterday, I spent some time sorting out the patio, and putting things in the bin; today I was sorting books, and found three that we don't need any more! Have also used up some bits and pieces out of the pantry.

Good work there!

I've been down visiting my parents this weekend and, as planned I had another good clear out of books there (7 books and 4 comics tpbs), and took them to the charity bookshop. Unplanned decluttering comes courtesy of my gran who recently went into a care home so I've spent most of today helping my parents sort through boxes of her stuff.

Yesterday was our first bulk trash pickup day of the year (we get another one in the fall), so I spent Sunday cleaning two big piles of junk out of my basement. I also took the two bags of junk I had previously collected out of my shed. I cleaned the shed out after last fall's bulk pickup, so I just stuffed the bags in the corner until now. My spouse also got some bigger pieces of wood out of the shed and we finally threw away our old bathroom sink counter that we replaced a few years ago. It feels good to get that junk out of here and the yard, shed, and basement look better now too. :-)

Thank you. There's still so much more to do in the basement, but getting that one corner done means we can store our big recycle bins in the basement now. We bought 3 small trash cans yesterday to put in the kitchen for the recyclables instead of the huge recycle bins.
