What have you found to rehome this weekend?

I've been a bit ruthless. I've found it a bit stressful, but I've thrown out over two reams of paper, including quite a lot of 'scrap' paper. I figure I'm unlikely to make use of all the scrap that I've got, and even in the unlikely case that I run out, I'm sure I can source more. I do know people who work in universities and government departments, after all. Some of the papers I've thrown out are parenting resources that came from my teaching degree, more than 20 years ago. Yes, some of the info is difficult to get, but really, I don't have any use for information on the developmental sequences of the pre-primary child.

And I've found a home for the bookshelf! I have to hold on to it for a couple more weeks, but have promised to deliver it to the classroom of a school teacher friend.

Other details -- Youngest has been clearing out files ('tis the beginning of a two week school holiday); I've cut up a shirt to make t-shirt string; I've planted out the plants I bought yesterday so that they haven't become mush on the kitchen counter. I know, not actually decluttering, but at least pre-emptively doing something so that useful didn't become clutter.

Any progress is good. I've done nothing; Saturday was the Books to Prisoners book sale, and I spent three days in set-up, and then the sale. I just got notice that we made $3497.99 - not bad. I am exhausted. Age is catching up with me. I bought a some books for prison libraries and just finished listing them, and others i had, and getting them in boxes to take to the pick-up location in May. I could have bought more, but I was too tired to walk the tables and haul heavy bags of books downstairs to the workroom.

No wonder you're exhausted! I'm glad the sale made a good amount of money and that you managed to get some books for the prison libraries. I'm sure your efforts will be much appreciated by the librarians and the prisoners.
