How is everyone going with their midweek uncluttering?
If I have found anything big, I have forgotten it, although there appear to be more items in the 'for the op-shop' pile than there were, so maybe the kids have been helping. What I have discovered is that everyone around here is uncluttering, and several op-shops are turning away donations, so I think I'll leave them in the hall for now!
This morning though, I went through my pile of papers (the small one on the table, not the big 'for later' one in the spare room) and extracted all the obvious to do lists. I got more than half of them read through, and the remaining relevant tasks transcribed in to Trello or Habitica, as appropriate, and then the lists binned! The jobs still need doing, but at least the paper isn't taking up space on my table any more!

We're in mid-move. Lots of furniture out that will not be coming back in the door.

Date: 2018-01-10 11:31 pm (UTC)I've also put a bunch of DVDs in our binder, so I have a box of DVD cases to donate to the library. I did this a few years ago when we first got the binder and found 3 libraries in my county that were super appreciative of the donation since they have tiny budgets, so I'll see who can use them this time.
I have a bit of time to knit and crochet now, so I'm making cat beds for my own cats and also making beds to donate. It's a nice way to destash yarns I'm not too fond of. I used up a skein last night and will probably use all of the skeins of Fun Fur I bought for my big kitty, Stuart's bed. Once I'm done with this bed, I'll see what yarns I think my new permanent foster kitty Miles will like. He's tiny, so I won't need nearly as much for him as I do for Stuart.

I've cleared anything over three years old out of my current file and moved it to my archive box - next task is to go through the archive box and get rid of anything over 10 years old (unless it's still relevant).
