I have been working on the 3 areas that accumulate paper - the table near the door, the kitchen table where my laptop sits, and one of the desks. The two tables were mostly cleared; all of stuff I dumped there last week when I was working on the book sale. In the course of doing this I earmarked 4 overstuffed folders in a book case that need sorting and clearing. Paper seems to be the current issue for many of us; that stuff accumulated daily, and sometimes seems so important to keep at the time.

I have 3 boxes partly filled with books for the prison libraries in east central Illinois. These boxes are on the floor behind me. I have to note the contents on lists and then haul the boxes to the garage until Liz and I meet to see if we can mail some where they belong.

My other project involves clothing. I am moving summer clothes to the back closet and pulling out cool weather clothes. At last the weather is cooler. At the same time I am trying to decide what to discard - not always easy because my weight and size fluctuate. The last time I discarded the largest size I gained some weight back and had to buy some new pants that fit. Possibly I should consider getting rid of the smallest size; it might be more fun to shop for clothes if I made it back to that size.

I so sympathise on the papers! The rate at which it accumulates, compared to the rate at which it can be processed.

I'm looking forward to the seasonal clothing swap, although it isn't time for that yet, because we are still getting a majority of days in the week with rain/cold, so I'm still doing all the layering. I'm contemplating not hanging things up, but instead putting them in a box, and dressing from the box. At the point that there is nothing in the box I want to wear, I'll have done my pruning.

Re: clothing box -- first I have to find the right sized box! I guess I could just go to the grocery store. Will have to get that sorted ASAP
