Digging in deep. Yesterday I realized I have some nearly pristine decorations that I used for a themed birthday party. Three years ago. I dug those out and am currently offering them to friends on facebook.

I still have plenty of things on counters, in drawers, on shelves to go through. But I dug these decorations out. Hidden clutter is still clutter.

In other news, I am pleased with using up what I have. No need to buy more *things* just to buy things. Working through the comsumables makes me feel rich--look at all this yarn I have! Can't wait to use it!

I haven't heard that! I like it, but mostly because I've been working on this decluttering thing for over 2 years and it justifies my current plan of action.

The decorations were shipped out yesterday so someone who will appreciate and use them. That's the best.

Well, I guess tottering piles of random visible junk are the priority when you first start decluttering. :-) But it sounds like you're definitely ready to start diving a little deeper.

And hooray for passing on the decorations to someone who will use and appreciate them - definitely a great feeling!
