How is your uncluttering going for the first half of the week?
I've been doing a lot of moving things around, in preparation to be able to sort through them, and 'tis quite on the exhausting side. Having said that, yesterday I moved piles of paper around, throwing out quite a bit -- filled the ~10L bin three times. Monday, I dropped off the bag of Stuff that was sitting in the front hall to an op-shop (and only bought a few things there, one of which was on the shopping list anyway, so it was convenient to get it there). Oh, and I cleaned out an 'empty' container that had been hanging around in the shower, and threw it out.

I think it is time to get rid of the don'ts. 'Cause I ain't hauling that crap to the new apartment!
Next problem, though, what do with? I mean I could certainly post to my sisters and a couple other locals on Facebook of what perfectly-usable mostly-full bottles of body wash are departing my apartment, does anyone want any, but that seems a likely fail for much the same reason that I don't think I could just donate this stuff to Goodwill: who wants used bath stuff?
But like. Mostly full bottles. Cost me idk $10/bottle? I don't want to be wasteful. But also clearly I am not going to use the stuff up, and it's just sitting there wasting space!
(Dear self: If you get the bathroom all sparkly clean before work today, then you can take a scented bath after work tonight! Think of that!)

Oh, and if there is a local freecycle list, check whether they permit those kinds of things. You might find that someone is willing to come pick them up.

Date: 2017-07-05 08:03 pm (UTC)A quick trip up into the loft netted at least 24 books all of which are now in a couple of large bags in the hallway along with a box with a number of other items including a pair of boots that I can't wear.
Since then I've found two old phone books, a number of DVDs which are in different boxes/bags to go to different destinations. I've found a pair of old batteries which are added to a bag of batteries for recycling and have started a bag for out of date and/or unwanted medicines

Date: 2017-07-09 01:55 pm (UTC)I have clothes like that. I can't bring myself to get rid of them, because they are professional work clothes, and there is a non-zero chance that I might end up in the kind of job that requires them, rather than 'jeans without holes, shirts that are clean and relatively presentable'.
