I've woken full of beans on a Saturday morning when I have no commitments until 2pm, so I'm decluttering the front verandah and front hall, where Things Go To Languish.
I've put two sets of shelves and some smaller bits out on Freecycle. I've a box of old stationery and kid's clothes to go to a friend who works with needy families. And I've started a box for partner to take to the op-shop later in the day. These don't count yet - they haven't left the house!
into the recycling have gone - a broken lid with no container, several empty fruit boxes from the front verandah, two lots of packaging where all we actually needed were the instructions on the back. Also far too many clean take-away containers - tried freecycling these, and while I did get rid of some, there was still a boxful. :(. However, they were not out of my house, so the bin it is. Several other broken pieces of plastic which Used To Be Useful have also gone in the recycling (broken bucket, melted jar - never leave a plastic jar in a car in the sun in the Australian summer, it just turns useful to rubbish).
and now to tidy it all up again so I feel that the job is finished!
