I don't know why I held on to these for so long! The Walkman, my last cassette player, broke about three years ago, but I kept thinking maybe I could get it fixed. These are my very last cassette tapes, and it feels like the end of an era. It really does feel good to finally get rid of them, though!

There is something nostalgic about all the old tapes and things. With the demise of my video player, I've been going through the same process with my video tapes - I haven't tackled the remains of the cassette collection or the singles and LPs some of which I 'inherited' from my Dad when he gave them me in my teens because I was all into the music that was around in the '60s.

I think I missed the window on getting rid of LPs, considering my kids' growing fascination with vinyl.
