How is everyone's uncluttering going? We've just been swapped from a two bin system to a three bin system by our local council, which means some of the items I've had lying around because they couldn't go in either bin can be easily thrown out! Yes, they are going into landfill, but I'm kind of okay about that at this point.

Landfill is ok for a lot of things. They will take time to decay, but they will. I know that a lot of the mixed “recycling” that I see will end up in landfill because it is contaminated because it is unsorted and mixed with stuff that should be in trash.

Onward! Clutter to shall pass, eventually.

Yup, sometimes landfill is the only option. And you must be happy those items are Gone At Last! ;-)

This week, I managed to get rid of two bags of trash (to landfill) plus some garden rubbish -- I've managed, for the moment at least, to get back to removing stuff from the garden faster than it grows back.

I'm also done with getting rid of the shredded paperwork I created in my last shredding binge and have been able to add another non-fiction book to the donate pile. Also not far off having a carload of (recyclable) old fencing panels from the garage ready to go to the tip, so I hope to get that trip made this month.

I've donated two small bags to the second hand store--one of those bags were more of a two-in, two-out situation which still counts. We've cleaned up the garage a bit more, resulting in a small bag of trash and more room to work in. I've listed a few more things for sale with no interest yet.

I just finished uncluttering my entry hall, at least the "put it in the donation bin" stuff. I got rid of 12 pairs of shoes and a LOT of handknits I needed to let go if I was to justify making more handknits for the season.

so between that and the wardrobe I'm using for this seasons clothes, that's two cluttered clothes areas down. I have more work to do, but that's enough for today.

and score one for maintenance! I did a load of clothing-laundry yesterday, and this morning, I picked up the basket, took it to the closet, and hung everything up, and tucked away all the folding laundry onto the bottom. It's still organized.

I have stuff to go in the donation bin. I'm doing that today.

I've added more books and clothes to the donation boxes/bags. I've given away two books to specific people and actually taken the books to them. I've packaged up a parcel to send to a friend with a gift of something I hope she'll like although it will take me a while longer before I actually post it.

I've created a bag of shredding, a bag of rubbish and several boxes of recycling which will be collected later in the week (not the shredding but the others). I've also started a small bag into which I'm dropping out of date/unwanted meds - there are only a few bits in there at the moment, but at least I'm locating them gradually in my round up.
