I've given a bag of books to my Dad - it may be that these come back to me eventually, but at least some in the bag were bought with him in mind and if he tries the others first, he'll be able to tell me if they're really not my kind of thing.
By the end of last month, I'd put to leave 47 books (and read and kept a further 12). I've started this month in the same vein and have already read and added to the going pile a further 7. I've also made up a bag and box of books to tackle (these are mostly ones that I expect to either not like or to not like enough to keep). There is a delay on getting these out of the house as there are a large number of children/young adult books - I have offered a friend the pick of the boxes for her children and whatever is left will go to a friend who is a teacher. The grown up books will all go to a local charity shop, but I'm also waiting for someone to come and check on some things they asked me to store for them (it was supposed to be a few weeks - it's been the better part of a year and I'm trying to give an ultimatum of come and sort through what you want and I will get rid of the rest for you or I'll send it all to the charity shop!)
I've also been dealing with paperwork and so far I've generated a bag of things that need shredding, another bag of recycling and have sorted the rest into filing and archiving.
Fairly productive, but I just wish something felt finished (or even almost finished!)
