Mid-week uncluttering

Tonight's uncluttering task is attempting to decrease the amount of gin and tonic water left in our fridge by departed houseguests. I have thus had two gin'n'tonics (the first a bit heavy on the gin, until I remembered I had a measuring device), and Eldest has taken on the task of finishing up the tonic water so that I don't have to drink a third. On the one hand, one less bottle in the fridge. On the other hand, we still have gin, and no tonic to drink it with, and I don't like gin that much. On the gripping hand, I might have more luck getting rid of a part bottle of gin. At least I now have space for the milk I bought this arvo.

What about you? Do you have something you are trying to get rid of? Decrease? Rehome?

I managed a two-in, two-out situation with shoes--or at least the out shoes are in the handmedown pile that's nearly ready to send along. I also sent two things to a friend and have offered another thing to another friend, who is deciding about it.

I'm off to mail another book and when I get home, I plan to rinse the recyclables in the sink. I'd also like to finish crocheting a Barbie dress for my daughter's Easter Barbie and see if I can use up one skein of yarn in the process.

Well done on reducing the amount of G&T in the house. For future reference, I'm always happy to help rehome any gin ;-) (even though my house is pretty cluttered with the stuff, so I have to take it with me when I visit Ma!). I drink tonic as a soft drink in the summer, but had run out last week (I've been drinking less of late and hadn't realised there wasn't any when I wanted a G&T).

Next time I'm likely to be in your neck of the woods, I'll make sure to bring any abandoned gin with me. Although getting it through customs will be an Experience.

I rehomed a Now TV box this week to someone at work who has no way of watching GoT. Not only did it get a device out of my house, but it made her household very happy.

Oh, that is wonderful! I... have no opinion on GoT, but I understand that a lot of people are very passionate about it.
