Mid-week uncluttering

How are you feeling about your uncluttering?

Thanks to tanaqui I've had a look back at what I was hoping to do a year ago, and I almost feel that I could copy and paste. Except that while all of those goals (no books on the floor, all the floors clear, destash craft and sewing collections) are still current, I've made huge steps!

Shortly after that post, we bought 6 bookshelves, and for quite some time there were no books on the floor in the games room. There are now, because I've nearly got all the ones that were stashed elsewhere catalogued and sorted. I had had no idea how many books were lurking around the house! My craft stash is diminishing by the week, and I've made significant inroads. Still have to declutter the fabric I'm never going to use, but now I've put it in Habitica, where it is going to glare at me endlessly. And the floor is differently cluttered.

This week I've been getting rid of the same sorts of things I have been regularly through the year - a couple of books, some empty jars. Plus I remembered to post the parcels that I prepped last week!

Ha, yes, a lot of my 2019 list was "same as before", but I'm starting in a much less cluttered place than I was at the start of 2018. Sounds like you made some tremendous progress last year. And well done on continuing to get those pesky unwanted books and empty jars out of the house -- and the parcels posted!

I seem to have begun the year with being able to finally let go of some things I couldn't get rid of 2 (3?) years ago. Nothing actually out of the house, but I've added a suitcase to the growing donation pile (and have some other bags to review). I also went through a box of pens and got rid of ones that don't write well (oops, why were those still there?) and added a couple of fountain pens and nice ballpoints to the donation pile. Also decluttering weeds out of the garden!
