What is leaving your house today?

I've managed to get twothree* empty boxes out of my front hall, a gift for a friend has gone, and a couple of boxes out of a friend's front hall! These have gone to another friend's house, so that they can pack things in them to move house.

* I made one empty just before I left the house. I have to deal with the pile of contents on the floor, but there were fewer things in there than I realised, and all of them are scheduled for rehoming!

(ETA: sorry about the html; should be fixed now)

I was thinking I didn't have anything ready to go, but I do have some worn out work clothing to go donate for rags and the bin for those is in the same parking lot as the library, where I need to go anyway.

One more thing to the donation bin and one thing was left on the curb/taken away with little effort on my part!

Woohoo! Great that you're able to get rid of things by putting them on the curb. :-)

Good work on finding a place to send empty cardboard boxes where they will be valued! And good luck on dealing with the pile of things you made on the floor. :-)

I did some more work on my project to make paperwork on the shelves be less visually intrusive a.k.a. "stick it in a box". However, I did go through everything and found some papers that could go to recycling as well as some things to go in the trash.

I will soon have more shelf space on which I can put nice pictures (that I want to look at) instead of ugly lever arch files!

I located the box of cat toys I was wondering about and sorted through all of the cat toys. I made a pile of doubles and triples to donate, so I will clean them up and donate them this weekend. I also have 10 knitted/crocheted cat beds that I will be donating (maybe 11, if I can finish knitting the current one). We are splitting up the kitty donations between the two rescues we adopted our cats from (our other two cats were rescued strays from outdoors). I destashed most of the scratchy old acrylic (which fluffs up soft once it is washed and dried) that I inherited from my aunt 20 years ago making these cat beds.

That's the best use for that scratchy old acrylic! Nice job using it up.

Wow -- I'm sure the rescue places will be thrilled with those donations! And nice work using up the acrylic and reducing the yarn stash a bit!
