What uncluttering have you achieved this weekend?

Prompted by something, I went and investigated the Buy Nothing project again, and discovered that there is now a group in my area. So I joined it, offered something that has been sitting in the front hall for *weeks*, and it should be collected tomorrow! I'm now eyeing off several other things that I haven't been able to find a home for, and wondering what luck I might have with those. But just on weekends, I'm thinking, just because I know I got a bit overwhelmed when I was in the local freecycle group, trying to keep track of when people were coming, and what I'd offered.

Lots of kitchen cleaning and working on reorganizing my living room to be a little more useful to me. In the process, I've sorted some stuff into the donate box, a few things to ask family about, and one or two things to try to eBay. A lot in recycling and the trash, too. Finished a couple lingering craft projects and made progress on others. And have managed to empty all the bags of stuff I brought in (presents in the present box til xmas giving, mostly).

I gave away some bubble wrap that's been hanging around for a while. I put a pair of pants in the donation bin and am nearly ready to put another pair in--I like the fit and everything but it's an odd color that doesn't go with many shirts.. need to let it go.

A friend gave me some yarn, as she gave up her attempts to learn how to knit. Yay free yarn! But it's mostly stuff I'll never use, so that, and most of the supplies, are in the donation bin. (with her blessing)

semielliptical: old books (books)

I identified about a dozen books to give away, they're bagged up and ready to go the library book sale. I also went through some folders and recycled a big stack of papers.

I had never heard of the Buy Nothing Project, and looked it up based on your mention. It looks like an interesting way to re-home items, though it seems to require more energy than just dropping things off at a collection point.

I haven't done a thing this weekend, but last weekend I cleared out all unused and unnecessary items from my kitchen. Vintage coffee mugs and cookbooks went to the local thrift store. A nice Christmas cookie pan, a frying pan, and a veggie spiralizer went to a friend! I feel like the kitchen is finally 100% clutter free. It's a good feeling!
