Friday Report
Nov. 23rd, 2018 07:01 pmAgain, not much, but I May be back on book sort. I have a bag of 11 ready to carry to B2P on Tuesday, and I am working on a box to take on Thursday if I can get B to drive me there. I seem to drift from wanting to keep to willing to let some books go. It's a process, and involves deciding that I will not read or re-read books I have had around for a while; sometimes I can do that, sometime not.
I have a bag of clothing almost filled with things ready to go somewhere. More decisions, and guilt that I spent money on clothes I wore once. I am trying to remember that guilt when I think of buying something.
Empty space is always encouraging; that does not happen often, but when it does I can sometimes get rid of more things because the space is so nice.

Date: 2018-11-25 07:38 pm (UTC)I haven't done much this week either, although I have been wrapping Christmas presents (not super-organised -- I'm just going to see the people I'm giving them to on 1 December) and have finished a roll of wrapping paper that I think I've been working my way through for 10 years! (I think I actually had two rolls and they were 20m long and I don't wrap many presents....) Anyway, the cardboard inner tube went straight to recycling (I didn't even have to argue much with myself about how it "might be useful"!) and a few other bits and pieces of the vast wrapping paper stash have been used up.

Date: 2018-11-26 12:23 am (UTC)Wow, finished a roll of wrapping paper is an achievement. I've got a couple still around too. Yes, no more 'might be useful' for bits of cardboard or plastic bottles and boxes. Onward!
