Friday Report
Oct. 26th, 2018 04:43 pmI have not made a lot of effort this week, but cleaning the 2-shelf bookcase under my big window resulted in a good bit of stuff moved on. The bottom shelf had gardening books, some gardening magazines I had saves, and a few other books that fit there. Now 18 of the books have gone, and about 6 inches of gardening magazines. I have at least half the shelf empty. I kept a few gardening books and 6 magazines that have information I might actually use. The rest are gone. I am now thinking about what of my many stacks of books should go in the new space.
I also took 4 books from the rest of my vast collection, so 22 books left the week. I don't know that I can keep up that rate, but I finally seem to be getting back to the uncluttering process.
My current project is finishing the shortening of 3 pairs of pants that I started in June. That is not precisely uncluttering, but it does mean they will move to bedroom storage instead of being piled on top of a living room bookcase. Who knows, when I put them away I might be inspired to move more clothes out.

Date: 2018-10-26 10:00 pm (UTC)This week, a friend and I collaborated to find a lot of tech books that were still useful, but neither of us was likely to use, and shipped a big box to a charity that asked for them.
I sent a second, smaller box of stickers, con swag, and the like, things that aren't books and thus can't go media mail. Naturally, I found one last lanyard after I'd been to the post office.
