For me, another weekend in which nothing new is earmarked to leave the house, nor has anything actually gone. Have you had more success?

What I have managed is to progress two things leaving the house -- I've blocked a blanket which will (in theory) go on Thursday, and I got the kids to clean a bookshelf that has been outside getting dusty, and then move it in to the front hall. I have hopes that this will motivate me to actually rehome it, rather than just let it decay.

Not really, unfortunately. I had a fairly social weekend, which meant there wasn't a lot of time for decluttering.

I need to make a concentrated effort in my bookroom this week. (I have zero motivation to do this, alas.)

Last weekend I sorted out a large heap of clothes outgrown by both children over the last six months, unboxed a bunch of stored clothes for Younger Child, boxed up the clothes I wanted to keep for Younger Child in future, and ended up with four piles leftover:

- for the textile recycling
- for the charity shop
- for my niblings on my spouse's side (specific items with spouse-family meaning)
- for my niblings on my side (everything else)

These got put in a couple of boxes and tidied out the way during the week.

(I did also unpack and put away a set of new clothes for Older Child, which prompted all the above, but definitely numerically I'm ahead, and probably by volume.)

This weekend I have parcelled up the two sets of clothes for my niblings, paid the postage and put the labels on, and have the parcels sitting by the door ready to be taken to the drop-off. I've also bagged up the two sets of clothes for the charity shop and the textile recycling. I found a pile of lurking textile recycling and added it to the bag, which is sitting on top of the parcels. (Of course the nearest textile drop-off is in the opposite direction to the parcel drop-off, and it's raining, so my enthusiasm to run these errands is low.)

I took the other bag to the charity shop, along with a bagful of romance novels I unearthed from my desk drawers at work this week. They have been sitting there for at least three years (when a colleague was giving them away), and I have finally admitted that my idea of reading them on my lunch breaks is not going to happen. I brought the bag home on Thursday and was determined not to let it take root.

(Against this, I bought several new books and a tshirt for Younger Child yesterday, and have taken delivery of a coffee-table book today, but I think I'm still ahead both numerically and by volume.)

I managed to get two old cell phones to an appropriate recycling location. And I shredded a pile of papers. But that's it.

I followed through on some of last week's decluttering by dropping it off.. but that doesn't really count, because it was in last weekend's total.

I put 2 things in the handmedown box. That's all.
