How goes the quest for a clutter free life go today?

I must admit to feeling a bit like I'm on a see-saw -- some days I've managed energy and sorting and rehoming, some--like today--all I see is an increase in entropy. But I'm always buoyed up by the successes of the rest of you, so I'm hanging out to hear of any wins you've had.

I put some stuff in the recycling bin, and then emptied the recycling bin into the big outdoor recycling bin!

Yesterday I shipped a box of handmedowns to a friend and returned a thing to the store.

Today I plan to drop a thing off at an electronics recycling place and a box of things at a secondhand store (one of these things is from Spouse!).

We plan to take a trip through the bookshelves soon. I'm eyeing certain books to go, as I think Youngest has outgrown many of these books. Also, because the library book sale is coming up and I am weak.

Wow, that sounds like fantastic progress!

Good luck with making space on the bookshelves for new books! Nothing wrong with bringing stuff in as long as other stuff goes out to make room for it. :-)

Yesterday I took a bunch of shreddables to the shred box. \o/

Found and put into use a cute reusable bag that folds into an integrated pouch when it's empty.

I also caved and bought books. Beautiful beautiful books <3

Yay for dealing with shreddables and turning the reusable bag from clutter to useful/being used.

Oops on the books. :-) But, hey, part of the reason for decluttering is to have room for the things we love, right? Like beautiful books....

"Oops." :D

I like that! Yeah, I'm not into minimalism really... I'm just very done with the feeling of "I have too much stuff."

A doorstep collection charity bag arrived this morning and I've already found things to fill it. It's due to be collected on Friday, so I hope I can report back then that it's gone.

I also turned some of my (currently quite large) stockpile of canned goods into meals for the freezer earlier in the week.

It's really cool that you can contribute some to charity while also decluttering. That sounds like a convenient way to do it, too.

Yay for frozen meals!
