I have not made any big changes (it's tax time, and 3Rs reorganization time) but I did get 35 Nero Wolfe paperbacks pulled and ready to take to the B2P workroom. There were books behind them, and I pulled a few of those. There was space; I looked through some of my stacks of books and put some in the back space, with notes on LibraryThing, and put a mixed group of paperbacks on the front space for further consideration. Making it easier to see the books goes a long way in making decisions.

I am going to a talk by Elizabeth Bear at the A.I. section of Engineering Open House this afternoon. I do not know what she will have to say, but she's worth hearing. I will also get to see who else would go to a talk by her. I am always looking for people to talk with about my favorite sf authors.

35 books of the shelf sounds like a big change from here!

I hope that the talk was entertaining, and that you met many people interested in talking books with you.

Yeah, 35 books is a lot, and I filled the space with other books, but the piles are still there; I have to remember to note that the contents changed.

E. Bear was very interesting; she talked about the history of A.I tropes in science fiction, and named several books I did not know about, so I have a reading list.

That sounds like a fascinating talk. I heard Bear talk a few years back, but actually don't remember anything about what they had to say.

That sounds like some impressive progress on the books, even if it doesn't seem very "visible" -- well done! And I hope you enjoyed going to the talk.

I finally got out into the garage for 10 minutes. Nothing has gone "out", but I was able to move things around to make a lot more space to work, and pull out a few more things to throw into boxes ready to go to the tip.

Good for you. 10 minutes of activity is good activity when it results in working space and stuff to move on. I have to remind myself that real, visible results will take time, but steps toward visible results are good.
