I have the same floss pile and while I do use up containers-- it seems like the pile still only gets bigger. (But I never think to tell them not to give me any.)
Good job on the books. I've been sorting through my fairy-lore books and have pulled out a couple that are too twee/woo and a couple that don't have anything that isn't in other volumes I have.
