How does the uncluttering fare this week?

I've finished (and reviewed) a book I'm never going to read again, and it is now added to the pile in the front hall of things ready to leave the house. I had intended to start on the process of thinning my summer wardrobe, but when I got down the suitcase of out of season clothes, I discovered it still full of winter clothes, which goes some way to identifying what the issue was with my lack of jumpers and long-sleeved shirts over the winter just gone! I'm trying to work out what the best alternative is for summer clothes. At the moment, I've cleared the couch in the spare room, and I'm thinking of just grabbing everything out of the closet, and putting it on that couch, and then dressing from the couch. Or at least, doing so once the weather warms up, and I discover whether or not the current weight loss is an ongoing or a short term thing (medication change related), because the clothes I keep will be dependent on what my stable weight is likely to be.

Spouse dealt with a pile of paperwork, mostly to find something for a kid's project, but it's been sorted into recycle or keep or shred.

I did nothing.

I am posting this, as an active member of the group, because it's okay to have a slow week. Or a slow few weeks. I'm still working on the goal and happy with my progress.

Also having a slow week here -- and yes, that happens sometimes when they focus is on other things. Glad you're still happy with your progress.

I am managing to keep up with the routine stuff like making sure paper and packaging goes into the recycling (or to-be-shredded) piles rather than accumulating in "to be dealt with" piles, as well as my ongoing book reading project.

Ongoing progress in the kitchen is slow but still there - mostly moving onto cupboards containing food - have got rid of some ridiculously out of date items or put them for other non-edible use - e.g. bicarb to be used in cleaning rather than cooking, similarly with vinegar and am reorganising the rest to prioritise use where possible.

Have got rid of a number of books because either when I started them I just wasn't enjoying them or they held absolutely no appeal as well as considering each one I do finish as to whether I want to keep it. Again progress is slow (snail's pace), but it's still progress, right?

DVDs continue also to be ongoing, although I'm going through a little patch of keeping more of the ones that are on the shelf than are going, but this is okay because overall by the time I've finished, of the ones owned at the beginning of October last year, I expect to have kept about 1/3 and of the ones acquired since it's looking more like 1/5 will be kept.

Glad to hear you're still making progress in the kitchen - kitchen decluttering is hard! Also hooray for slow but steady progress with the books and DVDs.
