What uncluttering wins have you had this weekend?

I've finished two projects, so I just have to get them out of the house. Other than that, not much to report. (apart from the eternal paper sorting. I'm down to about two boxes worth, so if I can keep up the momentum, maybe they'll be empty by the end of the year!

So far I haven't really got rid of anything today (although I did sort through a few more DVDs and put three more to go yesterday), apart from a bit of recycling getting sorted and put into the tubs for collection later in the week. I've done a fair bit of cleaning and tidying though which hopefully will make the next stage of 'getting rid of clutter' easier (if I can find it, I can make a decision whether it stays or goes!)

We've got a couch and a reclining loveseat to go out this week to a friend who had to get rid of furniture because of pest problems.

We also got rid of other furniture bits that were broken.

A box of donations ready to go this afternoon, sorted through a box of small things to find homes (some in the trash!) and recycle the box. I sent 2 knitted things to 2 friends. Currently offering a thing on fb with no hope of finding someone to take it. Thing for sale isn't sold yet.

I have 3 things ready for my mom, 2 of which I may ship to her just to move things along (will ship if I'm at the post office anyway) and the other is a sentimental shirt. I also have a box in progress of handmedowns for a friend, but she's in no position to take these things for a month, so I'll keep packing it. More in the works for this week!

In storage news: As I rotated kid clothes into the next size, I was able to free up a bin completely! So we have yet another empty bin to use for things as they come up (such as being short a laundry basket...)! The end is in sight for another bin.

I did NOT buy loose buttons at the second hand shop, where I stopped to look for a chair. I bought only the things we needed at the store.

I did by 17 skeins of my favorite yarn because it was half off list price. And I'm not even a little sorry. But I am back on my yarn diet. I mean, other than the yarn sale today, where I'll either be completely unsupervised, or the 2 year old will be supervising (and the 2 year old is terrible at this job).

AND I'm eating the last of the peaches before they go bad. This isn't decluttering, but it's preventing waste!

Someone claimed the giveaway thing on fb, so I'll ship that and the things to my mom this week. Good way to start a Monday.

Went to a swap this weekend where I took in two bags of stuff Kid has outgrown and came home with only one bag of stuff that should fit her now. Also helped my spouse go through her drawers and we've now got two trash bags that need to find a home, so I'll be posting on Buy Nothing later.

Next goal is my desk and craft stash...

I've got a bag of stuff to donate to charity that's been sitting in the living room for weeks - today it's with me at work so I can take it to a charity shop at lunchtime.

Well, the downside is, we failed at the yard sale (we had... oh, four sales? Totaling about $40 more than the cost of the pizza we had for lunch?) - the upside of failing at having a yard sale is that we have a huge amount of stuff that is ready to go, and now we're annoyed with it, so the process of booting it out of the house should be cathartic.
