I managed to pass on a pile of stationery that has been waiting around for me to remember to give to a friend, and as a bonus sent a box of books with them. I also made the effort to take some photos and put them up on buy nothing (no nibbles yet, but soon). And I found another ball of yarn suitable for a current project, and have almost used it up.
