I did another charity shop trip with my friend yesterday! A bag of assorted clothing and bits, and several bin sacks of books - the rest of the non-fic (I had so many books about sailing that I never read!) and the first few shelves of fiction. I'd finished re-reading a couple of books to see whether I wanted to keep them, and subsequently cleared out my whole remaining collections by those authors, too.
I'm feeling a bit ruthless right now, but if I ever have a really desperate need to re-read Alistair MacLean I feel sure there will be a secondhand paperback out there somewhere. And given how much of a slog I found what used to be my favourite, we're probably good...
How's everyone else getting on? Done anything much?

Date: 2023-04-02 08:54 pm (UTC)My expedition to the New Charity Shop (after the really local one proved almost impossible to donate to) was a success! They make it really easy to donate (there's a big bin to put your books in) and don't look at you like you've got two heads when you say you want to donate something. So I've now got rid of two bags of books and will take another bag next time I'm up that way.
I've also been uncluttering the garden (i.e. pruning/weeding) as the weather was finally kindly enough (not wet and/or very windy) for me to be able to get out and do something. One big bag of garden rubbish has gone and there'll be a second bag to go at the end of the week.
Not much done inside apart from a lot of digital decluttering and also clearing my to-do list by getting some admin tasks done.
