Christmas holidays

hooloovoo_42I've been away at Ma's for most of the holiday period and had a stinking cold while I was at it. But I came home for a few days last weekend to try and get some uncluttering done as I have to have the house valued next week.
Apart from watching several dozen episodes of Home & Away from 1989, I have trawled through my wardrobe and unearthed 4 large bags of clothes to go to the charity shop. I would have taken them in on NYE, but there was some horrendous traffic going in to town (it's less than a mile into town and it was queuing for almost half of that) and I didn't have time to mess about, the stuff is still in the back of the car waiting for the weekend.
I also managed to chuck out assorted boxes, papers, old bags and other assorted junk from around the place. There's plenty more to go at, but the space in the wardrobe and the ability to move things around has meant I've managed to move more things to their proper place. Yesterday I folded and put away all the clean t-shirts (about 30) from the spare bed and folded all the clean towels to go in the cupboard in the spare room.
I'm hoping to sort through a bag and a box of books over the weekend and decide whether to keep them or donate them. I'm hoping there's room on some of the shelves for the ones I want to keep.
