It has been a while since I had anything to report - family issues took time and energy - but I did manage to get some books to BTP. My total out of the house for February is 50. That's a good number; I don't know that I can keep it up, but it is a good start for the year. January saw 58 leave. I am going through my bookshelves, and those double-shelved books seem to have more I am ready to move on. The books left on those shelves are noted in LibraryThing, including where they are, so I can find books I might want again.
I've also been thinking about books stacked around that are there because I thought I might want to read them. I may pull some of those, especially novels, and take them to BTP. I tried reading a couple, and they really did not engage me, so I will use my reading time for other things. I am not really much of a modern literary novel reader - I keep thinking some well-reviewed book would be a good choice, but often it is not. This may make editing my more recently gathered books easier. I am looking forward to the pile on the back of the futon leaving, but it will take a while to get there.
AS to other uncluttering, I managed to keep the kitchen table clear of collected papers and objects; I think that is a major achievement. When I finish working on the taxes I plan to make major effort on my desk; lots of mixed papers there, and possibly things I do not really need to keep if I think about.
