Are you maintaining momentum in your uncluttering this weekend? Or are you busy with something else?

Despite feeling like I've been running in circles all weekend, I've continued with my drastic paper reduction from earlier in the week. What was a ~40L box of papers, a small pile on top of the box, and a pile nearly 40cm high beside it is now an empty box, a 25cm pile, and scatterings of things that need focusing on sooner rather than later.

My current goal is to get everything off the storage desk, go through it, and stack it back tidily. Then I can start on the next Pile'o'Stuff.

I've managed to clear the last of the dishes that need washing - and put them away.

The paperwork has all been gathered, collated and sorted into piles - one pile for filing, one pile for actioning and one pile for shredding.

I'm calling it a success!

On the one hand, I bought a typewriter. Space lost! On the other, I gave away two boxes of books, a printer, and a small box of clothes. Space gained! And to excuse myself further, I'll need to clear off a shelf in the next few days to make room for the typewriter, and that will spur me to action on getting rid of/reshelving some things I would otherwise have let languish. So my progress has been about neutral. And the typewriter is pretty small for a typewriter.

Congratulations on your drastic paper reduction! I had one of those earlier in the year and it was extremely satisfying.

Thank you! This one will get used! I've been looking for a functional replacement for my old typewriter, which is heavy with sentimental value (and metal) but has gotten sadly unreliable over the years about producing legible text. The new one has a little carrying case and fits neatly on the shelf alongside my laptop, AlphaSmart, and notebooks. It's very satisfying to have a dedicated Writing Technologies Corner.

Well done on your paper progress.

As for me, I gave my sister two large bottles of shampoo that I can't use, decluttered a bag's worth of paper and have put two DVD box sets into the to-go box.

I slipped up and brought home 5 books and a couple of DVDs, so to counter that I've been through the shelves and pulled 14 books to go - these have been split between a 'for a school box', a general 'to go' box and a pass these to X pile.

I took some of my kid's old stuff down to the street, most of it is gone now! And I moved her books to her old room, and moved some of ours to the living room bookshelf -- all good!

Honestly, I thought this weekend would be a wash because we have visitors, but we managed to add a few things to the handmedown box and I just listed a big toy set for sale on fb marketplace.
