What have you found to rehome today?

I've done another pass through the plastics and jars. What I don't get is how my three teens are going through quite so much peanut butter and jam. Either that or the containers are spawning. Either way, there are now several more jars to be taken to the op-shop, and a dozen more containers in the recycling. Plus yet another shirt. I put it on, hated the way it felt, and nearly put it away again, until I realised how much better the second shirt felt. Someone with skinny arms can have a nice winter t-shirt.

A few more shirts to donation (I have purchases several shirts that fit better and are much warmer!) and I sold a thing. I'll sell another thing tomorrow, as the buyer had to reschedule. Then I have to call about returning some plastic pencil pouches, as 4 still have the stickers attached, and I'll have to sell the others, to get rid of them.

It's a lovely thing, to be able to get rid of clothing that isn't quite right because you've managed to find something better, isn't it! Good luck with the selling of things.

I finally put together my new desk chair. That I got for xmas. As in, it's been sitting in the box in the hall for nearly ten months and I just kept putting other things on top of it, but I made it and it's great and I'm sitting in it. So while it's not quite getting rid of anything, it is at least not a box in the hall, getting used, or inviting other clutter.

Great job! I can completely sympathise with something sitting needing doing for months, when it could be solved in a frustratingly short period of time.

It's a very bad habit of mine. "This'll take forever, I'll do it later." and when I finally do it, it's like fifteen minutes and was totally un-horrible.

Ah. One of my dreadful habits is related -- bring something home that I'm excited about, put it aside for six months before I do anything with it.

I've only thrown out some trash and done laundry. In November I hope to read more books that I already own with readingtogether's challenge. Hopefully a few of those can leave the house then.

Trash out is still progress. And thank you for the link to readingtogether -- I've joined, and I'll be ready to jump in when the challenge happens! After all, I've only got 38 books on my 'currently reading' list in Goodreads...

I got rid of 20 books last week and I'm still sorting them and posting them on swap sites. I also took care of some recyclables over the weekend. Today, I moved the pile of junk that was next to and under my space heater so I could turn it on today without setting anything on fire.
