I took 6 more books to the B2P workroom. These came from one of my back shelves - south wall back three east, to be exact. I had collected all them from a public library book sale in the 70s; there were all essays from the 30s on British landscape or buildings - Taverns and Inns of England, and Gibbings Sweet Thames Run Softly, among them. I was clearly not going to read them now, if I ever did.
Today we are taking my bicycle and all its accoutrements to my sister, who lives about an hour away, in a small town where bike riding does not put one in danger, as it seems to in my town. That makes space in the garage (used for storage, not cars) and in one cabinet where bike odds and ends were stored. My sister is also getting my helmet, so the helmet space will be empty.
Now the question is What Happens in the Garage now the bike space will be Empty? It is now warm enough to dig through all the boxes and trunks and piles of stuff there, and get some ready to leave. The local Human Society has a big garage sale every year on Memorial Day, and a colleague at B2P also volunteers there, so I will know where to take donations. I must take advantage of this.
