What have you found to rehome this weekend?

If I've done any uncluttering, I don't remember it. Kids and I used up most of one sheet of nail stickers before heading out to the local Pride march, but that is about it.

Given that we came home with two 'YES' Pride flags, and I've bought over 20 books over the last two days, we're going a little backwards!

Hey, you're not going backwards, you're just winding up for a good spring forwards! Think positive.

I've acquired a few things this month, a new sweater and a new pair of boots. The boots were in direct response to the water pouring into the ones I was wearing so that's a swop, and another broken pair will also follow them out. I've also got a pair that are uncomfortable beyond words that were given to me a little while ago, so I'm thinking they'll get donated. I've tried numerous times to 'break them in' and failed to do anything more than break my feet.

I've also moved a few books from the to read pile to the donate box because when I tried them they just weren't working for me.

Then the best news - I'm going to be doing some redecorating in a week or two, so went yesterday to get some trial pots. Two of the colours blended so much into the colour already on the wall that I decided to reuse the main colour on the wall and just put a new colour on the doors and skirting. I then had a look at the stored paint and discovered I had an almost full tin of this wall colour which means I can use that for decorating and it will probably be enough for the area that needs painting without me needing to buy more. I also had enough of the ceiling colour left. So hopefully one tin should be all that I need to buy! Yeah, and useful decluttering into the bargain!

I went through my paintbrushes and threw out the absolute worst, but then the local craft store had an amazing sale and I brought home quite a few replacements (badly needed, and I can weed out some others in poor condition, though) and some other stuff.

I did give my mother a ride to the recycling center with all our recycling, so there's that at least?

I've added about a half-dozen books to the pile to be donated to the library's sale table, so they're at least in the hallway waiting to go.

Last week I went through the hats/scarves/gloves boxes in our hallway (which are in active use now the weather is properly cold) and culled a bunch of things no-one actually wears and put them in a bag for the charity shop - the bag is still sitting under the stairs, but I intend to walk it round to the shop in about an hour.

I've lost a bit of momentum this past few weeks due to colds in the family, but I just spent about 30 minutes tackling the Paperwork Pile of Doom on my desk. Most things went into the filing cabinet, but I had a small pile for the paper recycling, and a handful of miscellaneous bits of rubbish for the bin when I was done. Plus a package to mail to a friend (that has been buried there an embarrassingly long time, but anyway, done is better than perfect), and my tax return to do online today. A whole 2 months before the deadline!

I have a box under my bed of clothes to which I'm emotionally attached and may not ever wear again - keeps them from cluttering up my actual wardrobe. Would a similar Important Hats box work for partner?

Just a sweatshirt I never wear. It's going to a good home!

We've had a shopping spree of late, so I have more padded envelopes to play with. Found at a thing that will ship to a friend soon and am currently wracking my brain to find more things to ship.
