Decluttering bonus!

I gave a thing away, shipped a thing, donated a thing. I have a good donation box going, hopefully to be filled by Saturday? We'll see.

Anyway, I came here to share the good news, the real motivation of decluttering.

I have entirely too much yarn. I know I do and I love the yarn and most of it's really pretty and soft. Generally speaking, I have not purchased yarn in well over a year--save when I visit my friend's yarn shop several hours away. Today, I was organizing and winding the yarn and I found another skein of the very yarn I have been eyeing for my next project. It's like buy 3 skeins, get the 4th free!

Now I'm off to look at patterns--hopeful I can find one I like, now that I have an extra 90 meters!

I found a bag of wool at Pa's last week. I don't know who bought it - me or Ma, probably - but I don't remember it at all. I haven't had time to look at it to work out how much there is or what I could make with it.

What I do need to find is some cream wool to mend Pa's school cricket sweater. It must be at least 68 years old and has a couple of small holes in each sleeve. I really don't want to throw it away, considering that apart from the holes, it's in excellent condition.

I hope a local yarn shop can help. They might even know someone who can help fix the sweater.
